OKALOOSA PUBLIC ARTS 2022 ANNUAL

ART EXHIBITION CALL TO ARTISTS

Okaloosa Public Arts invites all artists to submit up to three works of art depicting your choice of subject matter to be professionally judged and exhibited in the Okaloosa County Administration Building in Shalimar, FL from September 6, 2022 through September 2023. Prizes will be awarded at an opening reception in the first-floor lobby on September 9. Reception begins at 2:00pm with awards at 3:00pm. Please refer to guidelines below for more information and to enter online.

August 12, 2022

(NO LATE ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED)

Cost:

$35.00 for up to 3 works of art

How to Enter: 

To submit your entry online with your contact information and artwork specifics,  CLICK HERE. When mailing checks, they must be post marked no later than 13 Aug 2022.  We will acknowledge receipt of your check. 

If your check is not received by 1 Sep 2022,

we will not accept your entry.

Artwork Take-In: 

 September 6, 2022 from 10:00am -- 1:00pm

  *Artwork from 2021 exhibit must be picked up at this time

 *OPA will not be held responsible for any artwork

not picked up on 6 Sep 2022.

 

  • Artwork previously shown in this yearly exhibit is not eligible.

  • Bas-Relief or other wall-mounted or free-standing sculptures are not eligible.

  •  Artwork will remain on the Administration Building walls for one year.

  • If you sell a piece during this time frame, you must replace it with another piece similar in size.

  • Work must be family friendly. Any work deemed inappropriate at check-in will not be hung in the show.

  • Artwork must be framed and ready to hang with wire for hanging or gallery wrapped with finished edges.

  • No saw-tooth hangers will be accepted.

  • Artwork should not exceed 36 x 60 framed. Artwork must be able to be handled by one installer and CANNOT EXCEED 25 POUNDS. 

  • Artwork must be clean and ready to hang.                               

 

Prizes:

Best in Show $1,000  

First Place $800  

Second Place $500  

Third Place $300  

Honorable Mentions $100

NOTE: If an artist wins over $600 you must provide your SSN for IRS Form 1099

before a check is issued

 

DISCLAIMER: Your art will hang in a public space, OPA will insure artwork at the published value, not to exceed $500. By entering, you are agreeing to pick up and drop off responsibilities and handling all business transactions should buyers contact you with interest in purchase. Okaloosa Public Arts receives no commission on artworks sold.  If artwork is determined by OPA to be plagiarized in any way it will be rejected.
